Participants
Professionals and amateur golfers, national or foreign can participate in the tournament as long as they can show proof of their handicap (amateurs only) by means of a computerized handicap or GHIN card from their home course or a letter signed by the participant’s Club Professional. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to verify all handicaps.
Tournament Format
Teams consist of one golf professional and three amateurs. Team format is better-ball of partners gross, plus better-ball of partners net. Amateurs will play at 80% of their handicap; professionals will also compete in medal play over 36 holes.

Starting Times
There will be a 1:00 PM shotgun start on the Vista Vallarta - Nicklaus Golf Course the first day of competition and at 10:00 AM on the second day of competition at El Tigre Golf Course. If one member of the team is late he can join his group at anytime but his team must complete any hole already started alone. The late player may only join the team on next full hole of play.
Rules
The competition will be conducted under the USGA Rules of Golf or local rules where abnormal conditions exist. The designated judge, will be in charge of enforcing the rules. All decisions and rulings of the judge will be final.
Range Finders
USGA approved range finders may be used.
Scorecards
The golf professional is responsible for team’s hole-by-hole score. The tournament committee is responsible for the addition of the scores. The scorecard shall be returned to the scoring table immediately following play. The scorer and the team members testifying to the correctness of the scores must sign the scorecard.
Official Scorers
Official Scorers may be assigned to any group at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
Pace of Play
It is every player’s responsibility to play without undue delay. The Marshall will warn groups if they are out of position. If a group receives three warnings the judge will assess penalty strokes to every player in the group.
Breaking Ties
The lowest team score will break all ties in the following manner: First, by the lowest score of the last nine holes of the final round. Second, by the lowest score of the first nine holes of the final round. Third, by the lowest 18 hole score on first day of competition and fourth, by the lowest 18 hole score on the first day of competition. The Committee will decide any further determination.
In the event that there is a tie among the professional players, a play-off will take place on the 18th. Hole of the El Tigre Golf Course. If the tie continues, the 18th. Hole will be replayed until we have a winner.
Etiquette
All un-sportsman like actions will be sanctioned according to the rules, and any physical or verbal aggression during the tournament may be sanctioned by disqualification of the player or players.
Shoes
Soft spike shoes are required of all players for the entire tournament.
Practice Days
A special rate of $80.00 USD at Vista Vallarta - Nicklaus Golf Course, and $50.00 USD at El Tigre Golf Course for a practice round, will be available on October the 18th. Practice balls for contestants are free of charge during practice the two days of tournament competition.
Handicap
Any player supplying false handicap information will be disqualified and the team will be required to forfeit any and all prizes.
Tees
» Professionals will play from the black tees.
» Amateurs will play from the white tees.
» Women will play from the red tees.
Trophies
The magnificent bronze, "SWING VALLARTA", designed by noted sculptor Octavio Gonzalez will be awarded the winners of each flight.
Closest to the Hole (Amateurs Only):
Merchandise and cash awards will be made for the "closest to the hole" on all par 3's.

TRES MARES RESORT "SHOOT OUT"
Win a $800,000.00 USD Condominium at the fabulous Tres Mares Resort on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. A “Shoot Out” will be held on the 18th hole of the El Tigre Golf Course from a distance of 137 yards, after the close of play on 20th. of October, 2007.
Eleven players (amateurs only) will qualify by winning closest to the hole on one of the 4 Par 3’s on the El Tigre Golf Course and the 4 Par 3’s on Vista Vallarta - Nicklaus Golf Course, plus the three amateurs on the winning team. These eleven players will have one shot to make a “hole in one” and win this fantastic prize.
The “Shoot Out” will be video taped and certified by a PGA Professional. The winner is subject to any, and all, taxes incurred by winning this prize.

Last Date for Registration
Players registration will close; whichever comes first, with the limit of 128 golfers (32 teams), or October 15th, 2007.
Participation
The Golf Committee reserves the right to reject the registration of any participant without responsibility other than to refund the registration fee. In case of disqualification no refund will be given.
The Golf Committee reserves the right to modifications at any time during or before the tournament. The Rules Committee will resolve any issues or controversies that arise with regard to the application of the rules and prizes during the course of the tournament. All rulings will be final and without appeal.
All recommendations, notes, and prize conditions that will be given to the participants during the registration process or published in a visible location at the Club House are part of these rules.
